Tales2Go excites kids to read.
Tales2Go gives educators and parents instant and unlimited access to thousands of name-brand audiobooks and stories from leading publishers and storytellers to play on desktops, laptops and Apple mobile devices (i.e. iPads, iPod Touches and iPhones) in classrooms and beyond, all for one low annual price. Titles and series range from Clifford and Curious George to Ivy + Bean and 39 Clues to Gulliver's Travels and Little Women. Audiobooks are a proven literacy resource, which is why they've been used in classrooms for decades. In fact, there is a dedicated section on developing 'Speaking and Listening' skills in the new Common Core Standards, making audio books a great way to engage learners at all primary grade levels. Specifically, listening to audio books exposes students to vocabulary and builds critical listening, fluency and comprehension skills. Tales2Go is used in a variety of ways, including with physical books in hand (i.e. great for tactile learners, bringing oral and decoding skills together) or alone (i.e. just listening) and individually or in groups. And, oh yeah, kids love listening to stories. William Weil, Co-Founder and CEO William Weil co-founded Tales2Go with his wife, Tracey, as a way to entertain and educate their kids.
